I can't believe that I have never heard this song! Lupe is my favorite rapper and this song has been out on the internet at least since February. He never fails to amaze me. His new single drops October 26, L.A.S.E.R.S finally has a release date (even though it's next year) and his band, Japanese Cartoon, dropped a video yesterday. It's all coming together! FNF UP!

This author of this quote right here is Will Rogers. He was an actor and comedian, one of the best-known celebrities of the 30's. I chose this quote for this weak because in this particular time in my life I'm struggling to get good grades so I can get in a good college. People always tell me "You really have to study this year because if you get into a good college, you're done. Your life is settled." But I disagree. When I get to college is when I'll have to work even harder. What's good about getting in the best college in the world if you can't get out of it? I know college is great. But the purpose of it is to get you ready for real life. So, if I'm on the right track now, if I stay still and don't progress, other people will become better than me. You always have to keep working and don't take things for granted. This is what this quote means to me.

This quote is from Henry Ward Beecher. He was an aboltionist. Aboltionism was a movement to end human slavery. I didn't know who he was, I googled him after I found this quote.
Anyway, I chose this quote for this week because it teaches a valuable lesson. You won't be successful at your first try. You will fail. But that failure will make you stronger and more knowledgeable so that in your next try you'll do a better job. You may fail again and again and again. But if you don't quit, you'll probably reach your goals. You just have to be strong and not go down on the hard times!
I find inspiration on athletes for these kinds of things. My favorite sport is basketball. So let me give you an example: Kobe Bryant is one of the best players in the NBA (the best in my opinion) but he was not always like that. I remember this time when all the Lakers fans hated him and he wanted to trade and go to another team. They didn't let him. So he worked, and worked and worked some more. Slowly he elevated his game and setted a standard for excellence in his department. Now look where he's at. 2 championships in a row.

Chris Brown dropped this Mini-Movie/Music video and at first I thought it was going to be something like he did on his last album, which I think most songs were weak. But I actually enjoyed this video. The song is nice, kinda different from that R&B that you are used to hear from him but that's good. The video is good also. The fight scenes give more intensity to the song. He's my favorite singer and R&B artist, so it's good to hear something new from him!

Oh, and don't forget to download the new GOOD Friday joint. In my opinion the best one yet!

J. Cole's album is honestly the one I'm more hyped for. Don't get me wrong but like, L.A.S.E.R.S probably won't drop anytime soon. I can't wait for Kanye's and Nicki's albums too. Nicki Minaj is really impressing me right now. Everybody's going crazy about Wayne's EP but if it wasn't for Drake and Nicki, I wouldn't be bumpin' it. I'm just being real.
Back on topic, J. Cole is one of the best lyricists on hip hop right now. He's right up there with Lupe, in my opinion. He has that old-school feel but not too much. Personally, I admire him because most of the rappers get their first check and they go buy huge chains, but he keeps it simple. He's not extravagant at all. That makes me think that he's in the game because he likes to make music, not because he likes to make money. All his raps are real and make you think. Plus, he's a big basketball fan like me!

Today I bring you this quote from the song "Man On The Moon" by Kid Cudi. He has always been a great inspiration for me. About a year ago, I had a paper with quotes from his musics that I would read everyday. This one is particularly interesting to me because it describes what society does to people. If you are not like everyone else and try to be an individual, a leader and not a follower, people tend not to like you that much and call you weird. So if you were boring they would love you more. If you were simple in the mind and just followed what the others were doing, everything would be just fine. JUST WRONG!
You have to stand out from the crowd, not dumb down and act like all the others just so other people can perceive you as normal!

I decided to implement this thing that I call "quote of the week" on my blog. School started for me and now I really don't have time for bloggin' that much, so this will, hopefully, keep me bloggin' one time per week at the least. Let's get it started!

I found this on twitter. Julian from The Rangers posted it. I don't know if he came up with it or not, but I really liked it. It's really true. If you think about it, everybody that you like has hurted you, even if it was just once and not on purpose. If everybody that you like hurts you, I don't even have to mention people that you don't like. For me, very few people are worth that pain. But when I find somebody that actually is worth that pain, I will be the nicest person for that somebody. Especially if its a girl. Sincerely, I don't often find girls that are even worth my time. If they aren't worthy of my time, they certainly don't deserve that I suffer for them. Choose carefully who you want to give the honor of hurting you :)

Finally Diggy's mixtape was released. It's definitely worth listening. This song right here is the first one. It's sort of an Intro, but I thought it was so powerful, I just had to post it. His lyrics are just too good. It also has a bunch of collaborations in this one. You have Lupe, Pharrell, Chris Brown and the list doesn't end there. I certainly was not expecting to be bumpin' his mixtapes so hard. When I heard of his first mixtape I was like "his brother isn't that good, so he's just the same" but I gave it a chance and I was very impressed. This one continues with the same vibe. I wasn't so impressed with this one as I was with the other, but that's because I knew what to expect this time.
Oh, and yesterday was also GOOD Friday. Go check the song Kanye dropped, here. It has Cudi in it, as well as Big Sean, Common, Pusha T and Charlie Wilson. It's a great song. But than again, when did Kanye ever do something on the music side that's not a synonym of greatness?

My face in this picture expresses my thoughts about getting back to school. I'm so not excited for it. I'm going back to school in about a week, on September 13th. But this next week is going to be so stressful. It usually isn't. In the last week of vacation I try to party a lot, because I obviously won't be able to do that when school starts. But not this time. Monday I'm checking out other schools because my sh*tty ass school isn't going to have a physics class! And physics is very important, because if I go to college for Computer Engineering I'll need that a lot! So now I gotta switch school in order to have that class. Still don't know if I'm going to other school, I'm checkin' another school, if I like it I'll go there. If I attend this school I'll have another cool class that my gay school doesn't have (no offense to gay people): Computer Applications. So that's cool. Although, if I choose not to switch schools I'll be stuck with Chemistry (the most boring class ever to me) and Psychology (that could turn out to be pretty interesting). A close friend of mine is also in this situation so if I change school, he will too. And he has all the same classes I do so it won't be such a drastic change as it would be if I was alone in this.

When does L.A.S.E.R.S come out!?!? DAMN
The album's already finished, why wont Atlantic Records release it? He's my favorite artist, not just rapper, artist! I'm anxiously waiting on it. People even started a petition to let Atlantic Records know that people want that album! It has currently 25 000 signatures!
This is the most anticipated album of this year for me (if it does come out this year). But I'm also looking forward to Cudder's "Man on The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager", Kanye's "Dark Twisted Fantasy" and J Cole's album. I don't know what it's gonna be called. I thought it was "The Blow Up", but I looked it up and I saw that it's gonna be called "Cole World", so I'm not sure. Anyway, FREE WEEZY AND FREE L.A.S.E.R.S!

So, yesterday was the final of skateboard street of X-Games 16, which is my favorite event at the X-Games. I also like freestyle BMX and skate park. Anyway, Ryan Sheckler won. I think he deserved it, but I wasn't expecting him to win. Chaz Ortiz had an awesome run in eliminations and my money was on Nyjah Huston... But oh well, I give Ryan credit.

Poreotics are so funny! They are the crew that I wouldn't mind being a part of. I just dance for fun and when I dance I try to make people also laugh a bit, like them. Because if you dance just to show off your moves, that's not that interesting to me. I like to get the people excited and in a good mood!
SoRealCru was the first crew that I actually couldn't miss when they were on ABDC. Andrew Baterina is one of my favorite dancers and I find Jackie Lautchang sooo sexy. lol I just can't resist cute (female) dancers.

Janelle Monáe is an excellent artist and she's my favourite singer right now. She's just different from that boring stuff i'm used to hear.
B.o.B is a great rapper, but he also sings and plays guitar. His and Drake's albums are without a doubt the best hip hop albums that came out this year.
And Lupe Fiasco... Oh man. You just can't go wrong with Lupe. He's the reason I started to listen to hip hop. Nuff said

It's my first blog post. In this blog you can expect things related to HipHop, basketball, gadgets, fashion... really anything that I think it could be interesting.

So, for the first post i'm going to express my feelings for hip hop nowadays.
My favourite artist is Lupe Fiasco, just by that you can tell the kind of music I like. He's a real lyricist and his words touch me in a good way. You really have to think about what he says, then when you understand it you're like "Oh sh*t, did he just say that?"
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Drake and J. Cole. Drake is just amazing to me. He really makes me think about life and I can relate to a lot of his songs. J. Cole has a new video out right now : "Who Dat" I like it a lot. The video's hot. He has a marching band with him and when he's walking you see a lot of little explosions and fire. What can I say? It's hot.

But here's my thing: hip hop is being dominated by people that don't even know what they're doing! Rappers like Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane... are messing this thing up!
I don't even want to talk about it.
